The original Winecoff hotel in downtown Atlanta was destroyed in the most catastrophic hotel fire in U.S. history and was uninhabited for over 25 years. Juneau performed a historic restoration to what is now called the Ellis Hotel; a 15-story, 127 key chic boutique hotel with an upscale bistro, premium amenities and meeting and conference space just steps away from the bustle of downtown Atlanta. This Tribute Portfolio hotel is downtown Atlanta’s only boutique lodging option offering a one-of-a-kind experience in a vibrant atmosphere that attracts visitors and guests from all over the world.

The daily interface which Juneau maintained with all engineers, inspectors, historic preservation officials and City building officials was truly miraculous and was pivotal to us being able to open 15 months after the start of construction. As the building neared completion, Juneau’s sense of urgency to satisfy the owner and get the job done was evident to all of us. The final push to allow us to be complete for our grand opening required Herculean efforts, including the interface with countless other vendors that were contracted through ownership and assisted by Juneau.
