Our Story

Juneau was started out of great desire, passion and taking a risk. With Les and Nancy having a background in the construction industry they knew this was a path where their skills, knowledge and interests could come together nicely.

When they sat down to start Juneau Construction Company the odds were stacked against them. They knew that there would always be a reason not to do something, but the risk was worth it in their eyes. Not letting the odds deter them, Nancy said, “this is what we love, and we went for it.”

Founded in 1997, Atlanta-based Juneau Construction Company rapidly grew from a two-employee, wife-and-husband business to a more than $450 million company with more than 200 employees and offices in Atlanta, Miami and Tampa. Juneau is a Top 50 Southeast regional contractor and among the premiere builders of higher education facilities and multifamily buildings throughout Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Alabama.

Proven Track Record and Solid Reputation

We offer a wide array of services including preconstruction, virtual design and construction, construction management, general contracting, and design-build for the commercial construction industry. We have worked on 29 campuses throughout the nation and have completed over $1 billion in Higher Education construction. Since 2014, we have constructed over $800 million in multifamily/mixed-use construction from Key Largo, FL to Knoxville, TN.

Our proven track record and solid reputation comes from our unique approach to construction and management. We lead with a family approach and foster that culture throughout the company – from building projects to employees and client relations.

In an effort to advance the company and foster growth, we have formed strategic partnerships to expand into new regions, opening a Miami office in 2011 and a Tampa office in 2019. We will continue to implement innovative technology to increase efficiency and quality of projects, remain active in community and local outreach efforts and continue leading the journey to sustainable construction practices. We also maintain an active presence in the historic restoration/renovation, commercial, hospitality, student housing, and senior living markets.
