UGA’s Russell Hall Project Wins Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation 2019 Sustainable Rehabilitation Award

University of Georgia’s Russell Hall renovation project won Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation 2019 Sustainable Rehabilitation Award. The original 9-story, 230,000 square foot high-rise residence hall, remains standing and was originally constructed in the 1960’s. The building underwent a massive renovation, including re-purposing and re-configuring all living, bathroom, and some programmatic spaces. The renovation also included a complete update of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as new windows, elevators, and roof replacement to update the building to the twenty-first century. Read more here.
