Hub Athens Dougherty

Athens, GA

Hub Athens Dougherty is the second phase of this transformative development near the University of Georgia, bringing 536 units and 1,656 beds of thoughtfully designed student housing to the Athens community. This off-campus student housing project features a mix of unit types and more than 47,000 square feet of amenities designed to support the everyday experience of students.

Developed in partnership with Athens-Clarke County, the project is designed to strengthen connections throughout downtown Athens while preserving and celebrating the character of the surrounding community. The development will deliver more than 16,000 square feet of new retail, a 400+ stall public parking deck, enhanced streetscape supporting the Jackson Street Art Walk, a new public plaza, and the preservation and revitalization of the historic Foundry building.

The project will also relocate and reconstruct the historic Hoyt House, ensuring an important piece of Athens history remains part of the neighborhood’s future. Together, these elements create a blend of new development, historic preservation, public space, and connectivity.
