Byrnes Hall Renovation
Clemson, South Carolina
The Byrnes Hall renovation has brought a fresh and modern feel to one of Clemson University’s most iconic on-campus student housing options. This 110,000 SF project offers dorm-style accommodations with 432 beds across 216 units, providing students with a comfortable and productive living environment. The renovated residence hall now features several amenities, including dedicated study rooms, test-taking areas, kitchens, and a game room, enhancing the student experience.
In addition to these modern upgrades, the project includes a seamless integration of the existing shell and façade with a new glass-enclosed exterior stair at the building corner. This ensures a harmonious blend of the updated design with the classic architecture of the original building, preserving Byrnes Hall’s historical significance while meeting contemporary student needs.
