NSU’s Mako Hall Tops Out
Nova Southeastern University’s Mako Residence Hall celebrates their topping out ceremony this month with lunch provided and prizes given away to show all the subcontractors working on the project that we’ve met a project milestone; the halfway point of the project. Representatives from Juneau Construction (CM/GC), Nova Southeastern University (Owner), and Niles Bolton Associates (Architect) were in attendance for the ceremony.
Mako Hall is a 7-story, 300,000 square foot, Type I Precast Concrete structure, providing over 600 beds for the Fall 2019 semester. This addition to the Davie Campus provides new contemporary housing with retail on the lower level. The development has a combination of single and double occupancy full-suite apartment style housing options, with a range of studio, one, two, and four bedroom units. Advanced technology is integrated with with smart notification technology, and integrated Uber and Uber Eats pick up and drop of locations as part of the housing experience.
