Our team was able to begin planning for significant asbestos abatement, a $600k remediation that was accurately quantified and planned for. By collecting detailed data on existing conditions, we were able to fine-tune the project scope, refine pricing, and optimize scheduling.

We understand that older buildings were not designed to accommodate today’s sophisticated MEP systems, which is why we utilize cutting-edge technology to ensure flawless integration. On the Byrnes Hall Renovation project, we used laser scanning to verify structure elevations and detect any deviations from the original documents. This allowed us to create accurate 3D models that guided our installation process, preventing costly rework and ensuring new systems fit perfectly within the existing structure. Our MEP Engineering and VDC teams work hand-in-hand to evaluate as-built information, utilize overhead clash detection early in the design/preconstruction phase, and ultimately ensure all systems fit within the existing overhead space.
