UGA Project Overview
This expansion of the University of Georgia’s East Campus Village housing complex consists of a 6-story residence hall with approximately 550 beds, apartment space for onsite staff, high-end multipurpose/event and lobby areas, faculty office space and facility shop areas. The structure is a post tension concrete frame with a structural steel framing system for the attic/roof level.

Cutting-Edge Sustainability
The sustainable building methods being implemented include a grey-water system for all shower and lavatory waste—one of the first of its kind for student residence halls in the United States. This system will filter water and reuse it for flushing toilets.
“We are excited to have a new residence hall that meets demands for housing, addresses the needs and interests of the new generation of environmentally conscientious students, and supports their academic and personal growth. We have listened to what is important to students over the years, and we are meeting their needs.”
- Dr. Gerry Kowalski, UGA Housing Executive Director
